A very well written article. I've reread it 3 times to think and unpack the information.

I was actually thinking about fear during my LR this morning. I wasn’t feeling fear and in fact had a great run with self-talk getting myself ready for a 8-mile trail race in the mountains next weekend, twice my elevation at a little over 8,000 feet! I came across two cyclists on the trail and I should add it’s a tough, technical trail. One admitted to me he was afraid. He’d just fallen over the handlebars and his buddy was having a blast, letting out whoops, etc. I told him, “There are some things you should be afraid of, like touching a hot stove. This is kinda like that.” His buddy gave him accountability to keep going and was there in case something went wrong. I felt lonely after they went ahead and ended up talking to a roadrunner!
